The sun is shining and Cheltenham, The Festival Town, is gearing up for its most action-packed summer yet. With a lineup of free events, festivals, live performances & much more to look forward to!
There's fun for the whole family at the FREE Summer Jam: The Lakefest Warmup at The Brewery Quarter, Lives of Colour Culture Fest in Pittville Park and NCLB Summer of Play event.
Memorable summer days out are guaranteed at the Science Festival in Imperial Gardens, Alfresco cinema nights at Ellenborough Park and not forgetting our local lido, Sandford Parks Lido.
Join Cheltenham in various celebrations from June for the 150th birthday of the town’s famous composer, Gustav Holst.
For creative souls and the artists among us, there will be plenty to see and do in Cheltenham this summer. Everyman Theatre and Cheltenham Playhouse have an action-packed programme of summer shows, Tuckwell Open-Air Theatre Festival will entertain audiences for two weeks in August and Cheltenham Paint Festival promises a grand return in July.
Finally, sports lovers have lots of activities to sink their teeth into this summer. The world’s longest-running cricket festival, The Cheltenham Cricket Festival, returns in July, while rugby, netball and dodgeball fans will certainly want to get the Cheltenham 7’s Festival in their diary and the free Wimbledon Big Screen is making a comeback for tennis fans. For participatory events Run Cheltenham and Cheltenham Three Peak Challenge offer a rewarding challenge for all ages and abilities. Phew!
